Finally Armenian skies will see a domestic carrier. Already in April there will be a new Armenian carrier performing scheduled flights. The spokesman for the Civil Aviation Department (CAD) of Armenia Ruben Grdzelyan told the great news to NEWS.am.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union Armenia has tried twice to have a domestic carrier. The first one was the famous ArmAvia. It was in service from 1996 to 2013 when it went bankrup.
The second try was with Air Armenia. Although Air Armenia was founded in 2003 it was granted the permission to conduct passenger flights by CAD only in 2013. The success did not last long as it went bankrupt the following year.
We can only hope that in the crowded world of global aviation there is a place for an Armenian carrier too.
Eurovision Song Contest has published Iveta Mukuchyan’s music video for the 2016 contest and it is spectacular. As DreamAremnia told earlier Iveta Mukuchyan was selected to represent Armenia in the most prestigious song contest in Europe.
We hope that this great song will finally bring the much desired victory to Armenia.
DreamArmenia team once again wishes Iveta Mukuchyan victory!
Armenian cuisine has always been one to drool over. Very often people forget who is actually making a cuisine desirable. They are the chefs or experienced masters of food that are able to make magic with otherwise simple ingredients.
A talented chef is talented in any country. Recently a 21-year-old woman of Armenian descent has become the youngest starred chef in France. This is particularly awesome because there is a tremendous amount of gifted professionals in France.
DreamArmenia congratulates her on a very joyful event and wishes her new achievements.
Armenia has been called “sunny” for a very long time. The mountainous terrain is a good recipe for winds. It seems we have all what it takes to switch to renewable energy right away.
Finally the government has done the first (actually the second) step toward the renewable energy sources. Last year the second wind power station has joined the grid. The power is not a lot, measuring only 285 kilowatts. However, the fact that there are already two wind power stations in a small country is very delightful.
The first wind power station in Armenia and in Southern Caucasus region was built in 2005 in Lori marz of Armenia. The first station has a much bigger capacity of 2.64 megawatts. Calling it Lori-1 gives us a hope that there will be more of them coming soon.
Armenian women have always stood out from the crowd. Lush body figures specific to women of Caucasus region have always driven men crazy.
The first time in history, Armenia will participate in one of the most prestigious beauty contest – Mrs. World. The great honor of representing Armenia is given to gorgeous Kara Ghazaryan. We are sure that she has all what it needs to get the crown.
DreamArmenia team wishes you victory!
Tourism is one of the most costly activities you may ever do in your life. That is, however, if you travel to expensive countries.
Thankfully there are many great countries out there with a lot of potential that are waiting to be discovered and loved. According to hotel booking website Oktogo.ru Armenia’s capital Yerevan has made it to the top 10 of the most affordable tourist destinations of 2015.
They took into consideration the average price of hotels booked from 1 February to 31 December 2015. It turned out that the average price of hotels in Armenia is only USD21. This is a very great deal considering that fact that Armenia has a vast list of places of interest and a huge heritage of ancient civilization.
Due to its geological position Armenian nights are particularly dark and the stars are seen brighter. That is one of the reasons why Armenia was the center of astrological research center during the Soviet era.
As the director of Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory named after Victor Hambardzumyan, Mr. Hayk Harutyunyan says the next big thing for sky watchers will happen on January 31st. The phenomenon is called “Parade of Planets” during which several planets – Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Mars and Jupiter will line up and stay so for a long time.
Everyone can enjoy the interplanetary spectacle with naked eye, but more curious people can visit Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory by catching the Minibus #520 from the Central Bus Station.

Due to its geographical location Doha may become the new transit point for passengers traveling to and from Armenia. With 153 destinations Qatar Airways has strong grounds to become the main carrier of Armenians towards the USA, Middle East and Asia.
