The Armenian Genocide started on April 24, 1915 throughout the Ottoman Empire. Millions of peaceful population of Armenians, Assyrians, Yazidis and other national minorities have been forced out of their homes to be killed during the death marches or through inhumane tortures planned and organized by the Ottoman Empire. 1.5 million Armenian men, women, elders and children were brutally killed during the Armenian Genocide.
Today, after more than a century, the current Turkish government denies the fact of Armenian Genocide and imprisons the brave citizens who would talk about it, thus trying to seal shut the dark years of its own history.
However, a lie has short legs and sooner or later Turkey will recognize the Armenian Genocide and deal with the consequences.
